Dusk Fighters - Chapter 22Nina felt her fur being charred right off her skin, she knew she could not hold up much longer against the hellfire, but she also knew she had to protect Calvin. 'I can't give up. Gotta hang tough a bit longer.' She looked at the Calvin who had the expression of terror across his face. "Calvin, if I drop, I need you to promise me something. Promise me that you'll run and keep running, don't hide, don't stop just run."  
 
"No. I won't leave you for death. There's got to be something we can do. We can't let the Empress win. Not like this." Calvin responded as he attempted to charge a water attack but his attempt failed.

Dusk Fighters - Chapter 21Trace dragged Blaze's stunned body to the lab where the Empress was waiting. Her sickly twisted smile would have made Blaze cringe if he could, but in his current condition, all he could do was move his eyes.  
 
"Chain the dog to the table." The Empress' voice crackled.   
Trace nodded and did as she was told. "What will be done to him?"  
 
"Why do you care? He's a Dusk Fighter, and they are the enemy." She retorted as she pulled a syringe off the shelf. "But since you asked, he's going to be turned into a robotic dragon, that'll be used to kill the Dusk Fighters."

Dusk Fighters - Chapter 20Blaze awoke to the smell of smoke, and began coughing really bad. "Cal?! Cal where are you?!" He coughed as he rose to his feet, 'Who started a fire? Please tell me Nina and Mildred made it back from patrol safely.'  
 
Another cough filled the room, this one was much quieter than Blaze's but was still a cough. "Blaze?! Blaze, what's going on, what happened?"  
 
Blaze moved closer to the other voice which belonged to Calvin. "I'm not sure but we gotta get out." He pulled Calvin closer to him and moved closer to the door, Blaze's paw felt the door to see if it was hot, very much so. "Heat is a good thing. Cal, stay behind Dusk Fighters - Chapter 20

Question for the Dusk Fighter Fans

:icontracedragon: here and today I have a question for everyone who actually takes the time to read the Dusk Fighter series.

Since I'm trying really hard to make this a great book (not story, BOOK), I'm also going to try to get it published before I graduate High School. If the publishing goes through I need some ideas for cover art.

So here are the choice I'll provide pictures later on this month-
Blaze(age 24) + Calvin(age10) with a dark and gloomy background
just a simple dark and gloomy background
Blaze(age 24) + Nina (age 17) with somewhat hopeful background
or
Blaze(beastform/age 17) + Calvin(age 3) with a black background

If you guys want you can make some attempts at drawing a possible cover art. Should you do so and I love enough to want to use, you WILL get credit for it.

Question about the Dark Virus. So, later on in the series, eventhough there's not as much Dark Virus still in Kacey, does it still randomly...';pop up'? Is it still in her?

Another question. Does the dark virus only affect them and how they look/act in beastform, or in normal form too? Final Transformation is bad too, right?
